This plant typically reaches heights of 2 to 4 feet and features slender, upright stems that are often glabrous. The leaves are lanceolate to ovate, measuring 3 to 7 inches long, with a smooth margin and a rich green color, providing a lush backdrop for its striking inflorescences. The flowers, which bloom from late spring to summer, are composed of clusters of star-shaped, creamy white to pale yellow blossoms that attract a variety of pollinators, particularly monarch butterflies. Aquatic milkweed thrives in wet soils and can often be found near ponds, marshes, and along stream banks, where it plays a crucial role in supporting local ecosystems. Its ability to tolerate saturated conditions makes it a valuable addition to native plant gardens and restoration projects focused on aquatic habitats. Scatter the seeds on the surface of the soil, lightly pressing them down, and cover with a thin layer of soil, as they require light for germination. Water gently to ensure moisture without waterlogging. Keep the trays in a warm location (around 70-75°F) and maintain consistent moisture. Germination typically occurs within 2 to 3 weeks, after which you can transplant the seedlings into individual pots when they develop a few true leaves. Gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions before planting them in a suitable wetland area or garden.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"PlantFlowerSeeds","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55030899310816,"sku":"tir1790045791563","price":4.74,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0811\/8334\/2816\/files\/asclepias-perennis-aquatic-milkweed-5-seeds_1.jpg?v=1790045822","url":"https:\/\/upcycledmaterialwear.shop\/products\/asclepias-perennis-aquatic-milkweed-5-seeds","provider":"My Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
